It's okay, there's no muffler on the bike or any head pipes coming off that engine so the bike is excessively loud enough to keep him safe.

There are no head pipes because the engine is a perfect rectangle, indicating an electric bike: that's the battery we're looking at. This is verified by the lack of "VaROOM!" written anywhere in the picture.

Yellow scarf. It's clearly cold: the road is icy enough to ride sideways.
