Inspired by an interesting (and odd) picture in another thread,

I hereby declare this to be the official:

Give this thing a caption contest!

Here's the rules:

[Edit: Rules have been re-written for clarity and to meet changes in circumstances-- Mod]

One: Study the picture, and submit your ideas for a caption. You may submit as many entries as you like, _however_:

Two: Only three may be submitted for judging. Number your submitted entries one, two, and three:

1)

2)

3)

All other entries should not be enumerated. If you have several and want to see how they will "play out," submit them as 'casual' (not for judging) entries, then re-submit them, numbered, when you make up your mind.

Three: Judging will _only_ consider numbered entries. This is simply to reduce the workload of the volunteer judges, and not to be mean-spirited. It's all in fun, after all.

Four: All the rules of the board apply: decent, disney-rated stuff ;)

Five: The contest officially begins when the new picture is posted. The pictures are selected by the previous winner, unless he wishes to defer to someone else's selection. That's entirely his prerogative, so long as the picture fits within the decorum of this contest: no one seriously injured (we're not ghouls), and family-friendly G-rated snapshots only.

Five-A: The picture should be posted by midnight, EST, on the Tuesday following the judging. If the winner cannot find a picture in that period of time, then the Third Place winner of that same contest should select a picture by midnight, EST, the Wednesday following the judging. So if you've come in third, go ahead and have a picture ready; you might get your shot after all ;)

Six: Judging is done by the volunteer judges. How do you volunteer to be a judge? Easy! Submit a caption for a contest. Everyone who has ever come in Second Place is part of the pool to judge the following contests. As we need at least three judges to give the illusion of impartiality, we'll need the judges to judge at least the next three contests. Anything beyond that is appreciated, but entirely up to you.

Seven: Judges are on their own as to how they come to agreement, or even communicate . However, the winners should be posted by Midnight, the Monday after the contest begins. This way, the winner will have at least 24 hours to select and post a picture, give a weepy-voiced speech, etc.

Eight: moderators for this board are not eligible to be winners, but can have all the fun they want submitting captions. Do not enumerate them, as they aren't eligible for judging ;)

Nine: There will, from time to time, be minor 'prizes' of no genuine monetary value. This will be entirely at random as such things become available. When a prize is available, a prize winner will be selected at random from the pool of caption contest winners.

Ten: Winners for the Picture This! caption contest will be posted to the Forum Announcements:

http://rebel250.com/rebelforum/view ... hp?t=18203

Judges: when you have made your selections, please contact a moderator, who will add them to that thread.

Anyway,

here's the first picture:

Now get those brains a-crackin'!

And Brent-- find you some Canadians to judge, or it's all going to fall on you ;)

- Only by gripping the white line was wonder woman able to pull the predator from docile motorcycle.

-In sheer desperation, she flung herself at her husband, dragging him off his new love!

- Some women just don't know when to let go!

Today we present another extreme sport: motorcycle bowling – where accomplished athletes trade bikes for balls, trees for pins. In this action shot, we see a pair of keen competitors in the advanced two-up division as they try to slide it in for a spare on the curved lane. Let's watch now... This shot has a high degree of difficulty... And, no! No! It looks like they've totally bungled the release!

or...

“Honey? When they told us we’d love being on the road with our bike, I never pictured it quite like this…â€

"Honey, I thought 'squid' meant you were a good rider?"

"I KNEW I should have ridden my own on the first date!"

Seven seconds into the ride, Julie was seriously questioning Jim's desire to be a professional bull rider.

Dick and Jane find the line between theoretical and experimental physics.
The line is not as blurry as expected but is slippery.
