That is pretty funny all right. Another believer in the concept of getting back all the money you spent on your pet bobberizing project. I bet it doesn't run very well either.

At least it went beyond the typical mode of dismantle/sawzall/rattle-can treatment.

Yep. Another 'bobberizing'. Too bad, too. XS650s were nice bikes. I'm guessing that thing hanging off the left handlegrip is a mirror? No turn signals, no fender, yada yada yada. Can you tell there is no requirement for inspection of motorcycles here in New Brunswick?
I was tempted to send him a note saying he'd displaced the decimal point by one position, but he might think I meant in the other direction.
Truthfully, I don't really care. If he can find someone to give him $7500 for it, more power to him. It is worth whatever a willing and uncoerced buyer will pay.
Jim: hopefully you are right, and it doesn't run very well. That way, the operator doesn't need to face the prospect of a couple of hours on that thing.

Oh-ho! A high riser. Haven't seen one of those in a good many years.

Other than that---

He could slide that decimal over _two_ places, and I still wouldn't be willing to bite. Too many issues.

But...but...but...

...look at the veritable who's who of aftermarket goodies it comes with. :D

Eh. I've never understood how people fall for the "I paid fifty bucks for it, so it's worth fifty bucks!" thing. Frankly, I sell pallets of cow manure, all bagged up, for something on the order of eight bucks a bag. I'm here to tell you, I myself am not paying two grand for what is essentially a large pile of crap. If you've got a garden, fine; it's worth something to you. I don't, so it's just crap to me.

Same thing with all those aftermarket parts: they aren't my taste; they aren't my style. I find some of them to be actual marks _against_ the machines they are mounted on (the hyper boost thingy comes to mind in a hurry). So you paid fifty bucks for it. Doesn't mean it isn't just crap.

I was being facetious...same opinion here mein freund.

For instance: if you paid just as much for the blacked out piece that the chromed piece would have cost, it's crap. Plenty of CL Bobberizers are here to tell you that two bucks worth of rattle can does the same thing. ;)

I've spent a few hours combing the junkyard sites and auto parts sites.

From what I've learned, if the cost of a piece directly adds it's cost to the value of a vehicle, the Leviathan is worth over a hundred grand!

(That'd be even funnier if you ever actually _saw_ the Leviathan, mind you)

Rumor has it that you do possess a camera... ;)

Rumor is overrated, I'm afraid.

Frankly, I've _never_ possessed a camera, save for those little disposables you take to other people's weddings.

My wife, however, has owned several. For a while, I was buying her two a year.

Then I realized I was paying a few hundred bucks every year for something that she would lose right after uploading her first set of photos, so I quit buying them for her, too. ;)

No cell phones?

Granted the cheapest cameras take better pics than the best cell phones...

Yep. After many years of dropping, fishing it out of puddles, losing it into engines, etc, any photos taken with it are pretty much just white fog.
