Does anyone think whitewall would look weird on a white bike? Mine is a 2006.

It's really a matter of personal taste than it is anything else. For example (and no; it's not an insult), I think they look weird on _anything_.

But it's a personal taste. Chunky white letter tires likely ain't comin' back into vogue for at least another ten years, so I'll just have to cope.

Whatever happened to whitewalls anyway? I remember in the 60's everybody had those narrow whitewalls on their Chevys and Fords. You had to clean them with SOS pads or they got dirty and yellow. Then someone discovered blackwalls I guess.

Hey Duke, whaddaya think about doing this for creating the beloved white letter tires? He spent $75 for 2 cans, but, 37.50 for 1 can, so, $19 per tire, plus plenty left for touch up. And with DIY tire mounting saving bundles o'cash...excuse me, i just gave a bundle to a stealership  yeah, i turned on to white letter tires in the '70s watching the price is right as a kid and seeing those cars with the "star pattern" wheels, all 4 auto makers had a version of that wheel...

all blackwalls have symetrical letters on the side, maybe this paint could be used to fill in those letters. afterall, one person's tedious detail is another's "fun project"

That gives white letters, sure. But it doesn't give _raised_ white letters.

UPON FURTHER REVIEW, letters on blackwalls are not always symmetrically placed, my new front tire is devoid of letters on nearly half the circumference. so painting letters is a no go, unless i stencil  letters in the big gap, which i won't do, it would violate my personal taste  [/img]
