Does Any one know if 1986 Honda rebel 450' s came out in Candy Eiger Blue????

Want to get a collector plate for my Bike but it has to be a factory stock color from 1985 1986 0r 1987 years

Any info greatly appreciated

IDK but my question to you is How the heck would your DMV flunkie know if Candy Eiger Blue is an original color or not? As long as its a legit Honda paint code wouldn't that satisfy them?

That's a good question Should I ask him Thanks Duck Your input helped

www.colorrite.com see what colors they offer as CR only sells OEM replacement paint.

I wished they had white again.
I had to choose between red or black.
Ugly red, or black that's too hot in the FL summer. :(

There is always Rust-Oleum white primer. I've been happily using it for 6 years on the NX250.

I have my 86 450 stripped down for a rebuild and am thinking about paint. Any thoughts?

I like the idea of a nice blue at the moment. Tank and fenders, or the whole frame too?

Might look at British Racing Green. I did a '79 CX500 in it; it looked great to my eye, but it is an old, jaundiced and nostalgic eye. Might not be to your taste, but give it a google anyway.

The problem with British Racing Green is narrowing it down. There is a surprisingly wide variety of greens (most of them dark, some of them stomach-turning, some of them attractive) that are classified as "British Racing Green."

Wow! That's quite a range. I was very lucky in that the body shop guy I took it to was on the same wavelength. If I recall correctly, he called it Jaguar XKE British Racing Green or some such.

That would have been-- middle, or just between middle and right of middle, if I remember the XKE.

And yes; the middle choices are more palatable to me. The darker ones come off as "failed black" and tend to swallow a lot of the details of the metal they adorn, while the lighter ones are just.... well, I suppose I can't say anything at all. ;)

They pulled it off the website, but I thought I saw white as color for the 2015 model (not the 2014 model).
Tried finding back the link, but couldn't find it.
Other than the color, the bike looks exactly the same.

There was a picture of a white Rebel on the page for the 2015, but it didn't stay long. I don't recall seeing white specifically listed, and with the picture now gone, I have to assume some web builder had a bad link up for the image.

You could be right!

In any case, my next bike will be a 400-650cc (God willing, when I get my finances done).

I'm actually wondering if the bike will be made available. Most of the other '15 models are listed, and they will be arriving at dealerships very soon (if they haven't already). The possibility is very real that the Rebel just got Nighthawked...what with the sibling CBR250 offered at the same MSRP.

Surely y'all remember the fate of the 250 Nighthawk --- priced below the Rebel in the 90s, then the Rebel was cut to near-wholesale thus keeping the "inferior" model at a higher price, then as the yen grew stronger than the dollar the Rebel caught up to the CB and the CB was nixed.
