Okay, I'm just going to say this one more ####-ing time.

DO NOT REPLY TO SPAM!!!

I'm not going to say who did it this time around, I'm not even going to PM you on the matter. I'll just say this: you must be a mouth breathing knuckle dragging idiot to have missed the message strings stickied at the top of every sub-forum here regarding the importance of this issue.

So here's the deal: for the past week we are getting several dozen spammers a day now posting 4-5 pages total of drivel that we the moderators must be vigilant in removing.

I for one am getting pretty tired of doing this on a regular basis. Especially since it was so easily avoided. I won't repeat how easy it was to avoid because it's already stickied at the top of every sub-forum. Right below this stickied post. But it was so easily avoided. So I have three propositions:

1> Go back to the old method of filtering spam.

Because unlike CAPTCHA (which sucks donkey balls), the old method actually worked. Under the old method, one had to post (X) amount of messages before being granted the privilege of adding pics or links in said posts. Which translates into the spammer's standard one-and-done posting frequency to be stopped before it starts.

2> Promoting the person with the lacking English comprehension skills (A.K.A. the aforementioned person(s) responding to spam) to moderator.

And if you can't control the spam situation you started, YOU get banned. The rest of us can catch a short break while you pick up the work load you earned.

3> I resign as moderator.

I don't want this, I prefer option #1. Failing that, option #2. But I am sick of this. It's really a simple request but for the life of me I don't know how it gets lost on some people.
