Today I got caught in a heavy rainfall while riding my rebel in the plains of Alava (basque country, north Spain).
I was heading north to my home near the mountains.
The weather was awful, road conditions were not good, but I felt safe and I felt like it a perfect an smooth ride, was something strange.
It is in situations like this when you can test your motorcycle...
Smooth control in curves, at highways speed, overtaking slow trucks, at secondary roads with potholes ...
Everyday commuter.
The perfect bike for me not a powerful beast, but totally reliable, in any almost any weather or road condition, humble in its needs, like a small workhorse.

You can't imagine how glad I am to have found this bike, and I want to share it with you. :riding1:

That's a good story Carlos.. Sounds like you had a Zen experience with your bike under what seems like very bad conditions. There is a certain satisfaction in overcoming a little adversity like that and feeling like it was a very manageable and even enjoyable task.

I agree with Duckster, value that ride, the "completely in the groove" ride is fairly rare.

Carlos, Those are the rides you'll remember throughout your life time.
