Pulling out of The Bear Factory, I asked Buickguy if that frozen custard stand is still up Grand River to the west. I remember it from my earliest days!
He said it was and if I would like, we could take Grand River instead of I-96.
What kind of bear would I be if I didn't opt for the scenic route!

Sure enough, the frozen custard place was still there!
I stopped to pose by their sign.

Better watch out Bob, you should remember that chocolate gives stuffed bears the squirts and that wouldn't be too nice for the folks behind you... LOL.

I forgot about that! It sure was a good cone though. At least it was only a single scoop.

Hi Folks!
Its a nice day here today. Buick guy woke me up the morning and said: "Lets ride Bob."
So we got on the Rebel (Yay) and headed out. We stopped at the local hardware store. I did know what Buickguy had in mind but at least I was riding!

It turns out that Buickguy needed a couple of bolts. He noticed that the seat pad Cagie had made for me had gotten lost, so he surprised me with a new seat pad. Buickguy didn't have any leather in stock so its just covered in plastic, but at least its a pad.
He said if he gets a chance, he'll get some vinyl for it and give it a proper covering.

We took off down the road...

Notice that pretty lady behind me. She was really nice to me when I got to meet her.
More on that later. I want to relay the events as they unfolded!

I wanted to see some of the shopping so we went in to one of the shops. I was looking around and I met two pretty ladies. They were really nice!
I started to talk to them about my adventures. I guess I still have the Bear family charm because not only did they took time out of their day to visit with me, They gave me one of the necklaces! They were preparing for the annual hearse show this Saturday, Sept 15 and were making necklaces for the people who enter a hearse in the show. I really feel special! I don't have a hearse but I got a necklace!

Wow!
I really look like a tough guy now!

I told you they were pretty!
A pretty as they are, they were even nicer!
I talked of my journey, as much as I could remember anyway. My diary got lost somewhere in my travels.
I bragged about PaulJack and Duke. I told them of my time seeing Guba's bees, Showed off the seat Cagie made me, and how I've been traveling since 2008. I showed them the pictures of my visit to The Bear Factory and my family reunion.
We had a lot of fun. They were so nice, I gave them one of my patches!
They said they were going to put me on their website! Neat, huh. I will be on the web site from Hell!

Those two pretty ladies told me about the Hell Michigan rock outside. I asked if it would be OK to have Buickguy take a picture of me on the rock. They said it would.

They also mentioned some of the neat signs outside and suggested it might be fun to do one of them.

While walking around, we met a very fine gentleman who offered to take my photo with Buickguy.
That's a pretty rare event, as Buickguy is very camera shy but he even put on devil horn for the occasion!

We went in to the other store and looked around.
Remember that pretty lady behind me on the bike? I got to talking with her. She is also very nice! She gave me a patch that says Hell Mi on it and a very special pin for my vest!
I really like the pin. It says "I've been to Hell and back" on it and it has a motorcycle on it! It was that nice lady's last one with the motorcycle but she wanted me to have it.
Here I am proudly wearing my Hell souvenirs.

Here's a close up of the pin. I wish Buickguy was steadier with the camera.

Hi folks!

not much is happening around here today. Buickguy said he had to change the oil on the Park Ave, so I volunteered to help.
We ran up to the part store and I carried the oil filter home. At least I got to ride to the parts store. We took out the SilverWing.

Fiddler (That's Buickguys wife. Is she on here?) suggested that I might enjoy spending the weekend at their camper.
It sounds like fun. You all know how much I like camping. I'll be helping Buickguy get set up tomorrow. That way when Fiddler gets home we can just head right over.

We decided to go out for a boat ride. I got Buickguy to "show me the ropes"!
I found out that the expression comes from sailing!
I singled up on all the lines and got ready to cast off.

I found a nice sunny spot to sit. I did tuck in my necklace so it wouldn't get splashed, but I still had some showing.
I guess I got to be Bear On Boat for a little while!
