I'll be on the forum for a little while, but then nothing will load or when I try to post it just sits there...

My browser is Opera, but I have tried Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome. No difference.

I have also tried it in two different cities, so it is not the Internet connection that I am using.

Has anyone else had this problem?

DJ offered free server space.

An occasional problem is minor trade off; however, I have rarely seen more than a 10 second delay.

Could it be your operating system?

The site has been dowwn for me for a few days but I see where people have posted while it was down. Why can't I get on the site when others can? It's very weird. :?

I had about 36 hours of not being able to connect.

But I'm feeling much better now!

There has been an issue in the server related to timing signals in and out. It's been a bear to track down, and resulted in the board actually being down last night and half of today, but it should be working fine now.

Yeah, experienced same thing yesterday. All's well, now, though.

If your browser does something crazy, like attempt to cache the whole website, the intrusion detection system will lock you out of the server (usually permanently, and you won't get back in unless you get a new IP).

Far be it from me to understand, but there are a lot of "bots" (for lack of a better term) on the intarwebs that like to try to attack our forum, so if your ISP's proxy (if equipped) or your browser starts to throw a lot of simultaneous requests at the server, it will cut you off, rather than allowing something to consume all resources and shut us down.

Just one explanation for the situation, but it's more likely due to network between us and you.

So here is another wierd kink. In Rome, i still cant get on with my laptop or any school computer. HOWEVER, my iPod Touch lets me on uaing the same wireless signal. My school networking departmen says they are looking into it, but who knows... Till then Ill just be limited to the HondaRebelForum.

I've got the same problem at school, but in that case it's related to their phishing filters and to some security stuff that runs full-time. It starts crawling the whole server looking for threats, but when they start crawling, the server locks them out, as that in itself is a threat to the server.

That may be it. Or perhaps something similar. I know that I cant access Netflix from my xBox because our servers block the video streaming. Wasted 2+ months of my xBox Live account and have since cancled it till my school fixes it.
