Duke. I love what you've done with the place since last night..
You've organized all the Jillisms in one easily accessible thread and provided an insightful, yet humerous analysis of the collected ravings of our friend Jill.

It was interesting here between 1:30 and 4 last night. I checked when work was done and things were... Lets just say there are things Marines won't say that were said.

Kudo's for bringing back Romper Room.

Every fight she tried to pick was just like at the other forum. Every insult she made was just like the other forum. Everything here seems to be repeated. When I read it I thought, "I know what's going to come out of her mouth next", and it did!

I got the impression at the other forum that she was just waiting to be banned. Troll-ing must be a hobby of hers. This forum kind of proved that to me. She switched user names too quick, like she was expecting it at such and such moment.

The real question is...is she really Jill? Or was it a 13 year old kid using his/her daddies email? LOL :P

Intresting way to handle it Duke! Very entertaining!

Guba, you got my gears turning a bit.

There are no photos in the Garage here. There are no photos that I could find over at Jason's old place.
That in itself isn't proof of anything but one would surmise that a poster who intended to stay a while and communicate with fellow cyclists would put some sort of photo of their machine up.
Granted some folks don't plan to stay long since they just need an answer to their immediate issue but those folks also don't tend to post in multiple threads in multiple fora either.

I still think that she saw Duke telling her to take that type of behaviour down the road and just assumed it was a ban rather than a a statement.
The resorting to derogatory epithets and foul language does show a certain lack of sophistication, whatever the cause.
I could appreciate a well chosen epithet showing a level of awareness but the derogatory ones chosen had no such finesse.
Case in point, my favorite epithet is "Green and Pleasant Land" used to refer to England.

Oh well, life goes on.

I probably should have worded that better...seeing as Duke had no heart attacks and two were claimed ---

That was to be interpreted that she lacks reading comprehension skills and/or she just can't count.

It's worse than you think!

Even though her reading comprehension is quite obviously far lower than that of my four-year-old, it's apparent that not only can Jill not count, but she can't count to _one_!

Exactly, just like Dr. Jones said in the tank scene during Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: "Sallah! I said no camels, that's FIVE camels. Can't you count?!"

The story of the bean-sidhe began as a fairy woman keening at the death of important personages. In later stories, the appearance of the banshee could foretell death. Banshees were said to appear for particular Irish families, though which families made it onto this list varied depending on who was telling the story.

The banshee can appear in a variety of guises. Most often she appears as an ugly, frightening hag, but she can also appear as a stunningly beautiful woman of any age that suits her. In some tales, the figure who first appears to be a "banshee" is later revealed to be the Irish battle goddess, the Morrígan. The hag may also appear as a washer-woman, or bean-nighe (washing woman), and is seen washing the blood stained clothes or armour of those who are about to die.

Although not always seen, her mourning call is heard, usually at night when someone is about to die and usually around woods. In 1437, King James I of Scotland was approached by an Irish seer or banshee who foretold his murder at the instigation of the Earl of Atholl. There are records of several prophets believed to be incarnate banshees attending the great houses of Ireland and the courts of local Irish kings. In some parts of Leinster, she is referred to as the bean chaointe (keening woman) whose wail can be so piercing that it shatters glass. In Kerry in the southwest of Ireland, her keen is experienced as a "low, pleasant singing"; in Tyrone in the north, as "the sound of two boards being struck together"; and on Rathlin Island as "a thin, screeching sound somewhere between the wail of a woman and the moan of an owl".

The banshee may also appear in a variety of other forms, such as that of a hooded crow, stoat, hare and weasel - animals associated in Ireland with witchcraft
