Some of these words belong to Jack but most of them are mine. IF you have never attended a Rebel Rally you have no idea what you are missing. I have just returned home from the rally in Helen,Ga and cannot remember having a better time anywhere. ALL of the folks that attended were soo friendly and soo congenial that it is unreal. I MADE A LOT OF NEW FRIENDS AND GOT TO PUT FACES WITH NAMES. There were no harse words ,no arguing, no bickering, just a group of mighty fine folks there to offer help or advice and to have a good time.. Not just one or two but every single person. We rode in the rain and nearly froze on Saturday but did anyone complain ? NO! We ate too well and we heard a lot of stories and maybe a few Tall Tales LOL. There were tons of pictures taken and I'm sure they will show up soon . I'll write some more later. A big thanks goes out to Jack and Mike .!!

Jerry

I think you were the only one telling tall tales. The rest of us were telling the truth.

lol

Just got in--

we're home and we're fine.

More later; shower and a bed now.

But I want to cast the vote to make the Helen Back Rally an annual event!

I'll second... and amend that it become bi-annual, a fall event would be great for the "color" seekers when the leaves change.

I enjoyed meeting all of you, and I third the motion to continue Helen Back. It is great to meet folks you only know from the forum and find out they are even nicer than you imagined!

Here are some of my pix from Saturday. You can use the browse button to advance the pics. They cover breakfast at the Unicoi Lodge restaurant, and our assembly at the Chalet Kristy motel before the Saturday ride.

Sorry I didn't get any of the group ride, but it was pouring, my old digital camera was not waterproof, and I needed both hands on the handlebar! If anybody wants a higher-resolution version, PM me and I will email it to you; just use the reference number for which ones.

Man, it is going to be hard to go back to W*&K today.
Just think, part of the group is still riding back to Indiana today.
I wonder if they would trade?

okay...true story...after most of you pulled out of the motel parking lot to go to breakfast on sunday, the helen police showed up. seems that the soda machine on the second level was broken in to. delbert allgood was already to convict mike lyon of the crime. i told them one of the guys (jim wilson) was complaining about not getting a 15% group discount. did anyone notice if he payed for his breakfast in quarters??? lol
i am still on a natural high from the good time i had. the next time we go, uneasy rider and i are going to catch enough trout in the stream next to the motel to feed the group. now there is a fish story for you!!

Ill be there, but we will want to plan way ahead to reserve rooms. I imagine that the rooms book up quickly in the fall. It has to be during fishing season too, lol. I'll bring the corn.

It sounds like you guys had fun.

I would LOVE to attend a Rebel Rally.

But since I live in Oregon, I would have to traverse the entire US to get there, and my butt would be rather sore. But I would probably have some great pictures though.

So, I will live vicariously through your pictures.
