And AtlAggie and Becca both made it back to Dacula around 1:00. Becca was not able to do any shopping on the way home from Andrews, so she headed off to the nail salon to console herself.

I followed LilSpeedy to the Georgia line, then I headed off to ride down GA 60 andf GA 19. I caught up to her again just south of Cleveland, and followed until I cut over to Clark's Bridge road for the shortcut home.

Becca and I want to thank Jim for his lead on the 200+ mile ride on Friday through Cherokee and Maggie Valley, lunch in Waynesville, and then the "Rattler" (NC 209 out of Waynesville), then NC 63 and Newfound Road back to Canton, before we headed back to Andrews.

Steve also did a GREAT job leading the 200 mile Saturday ride (route and numbers noted in the earlier post).

Finally, we want to thank ALL our Rebel friends, both old and new, for making this a great weekend trip.
:bikerthumb:

Ride Safe, everybody!

Thanks so much for riding with me to the state line and stopping to take pictures for me :D I didn't even notice you when you caught up to me. So a big thank you :-)

I only got to meet a few of you folks when I ran through Andrews on my way to the Nightahwk rally, but it was a nice time nonetheless!

Hope to see some more of you on the road as we go...Ride well!

We just walked into the door. RW & I are still smiling when thinking of everyone we spent time with in the past 4 days. We spend so much time looking forward to seeing everyone, .. have a great time, .. then, too quickly, it's over!

A pizza is next; RW will check the camera to see what kind of pictures we got; watching DWTS finals is a have-to for us; and "crashing" into bed might be next. Not a lot of sleep for us in the past 5 nites.

Back later. Hope we have enough good pictures to share the activities .. and the enjoyment we all had in whatever we were doing.

I stared, bleary-eyed at the statement for a while when I woke. Doesn't it better represent how we were feeling than had I said, "we just walked through the door". Yeah, I'll leave it.

Who met coffee-brake? When? Was it before RW & I got there Thursday eve? Bummer that we missed our chance for a quick "hello".

Of course, everyone knows that RW is the one responsible for our getting anywhere later than we planned. Hah!
(he's asleep. I can say anything I want)

Sorry something prevented you from joining us, Soul Searcher. Next time?

The Indiana trio took the rest of the week off and were continuing their "ride". Anyone keeping in contact with them?

I'll call Pat in a couple of days to see how they are doing .. and Jason & Pearllena. Logan lost his sister this past weekend and the last I knew .. they were deciding between heading directly to her funeral on the bike, and in the clothes they had on .. or making a quick stop at home in TN first. Don't remember what state they're heading to. VA? WV?

Bob of Tuscaloosa got home okay per a quick note on Jim's site.

I'm quoting one of my favorite wheezeburnt sayings here ..
"she's as sharp as a marble". That's me right now.

I'm going back to bed.

Here's 3 pictures to whet the appetite. Taken Saturday night.

Feet .. Marie .. Steve .. Bob .. David

Bike Surrounded. The hotel DID fill up. We felt sorry for the people who had to be turned away. None of us, though. All of us had registered early.

Note the wheel, farthest to the left. Just poking out. It belongs to Delbert or Marie who found their bikes hemmed in and surrounded by a bunch of Harleys.

At some point, that night, the Harley owners came back out and did a little light show before they left for their own dinner.

So I had to go over to SW's Rebel (across the drive from where David is sitting) .. and turn on her red rope lights which can flash or stay on steady.

And, up drives a beautiful Goldwing trike which put us all to shame.

Next are 2 pictures taken at the same time. A bit blurred but show more of the rocker group. Still, not all of us.

I can't keep from grinning when looking at that first picture.

We really know how to "rough-it", don't we?

John, are you saying we'll run into rockers while on the Devil's Highway?

Sorry, Shai .. don't know how to help you with seeing the photos. Maybe one of our photo experts will pop in.

Just remember, John, the rocking chairs came in the evening on Friday and Saturday after 200+ miles in the mountains during the days! :riding1:

How many casino stops?

200 miles/10 hours = 20 mph average; there have got to have been stops.....

One casino stop on Friday for 4 participants.

Casino-stoppers did not ride with the ralliers on Friday.

Jason & Pearllena rode their bike in from VA. The pre-planned
meeting place with Pat & me was the casino in Cherokee.

A sheet of rain greeted us at the garage exit, so Pearllena jumped
into the truck with us .. while Jason braved the elements and
followed us all the way to Andrews. About an hour's ride.

Everyone took part in the Saturday ride.

Hi Lilspeed, I had the same problem here. I could see them on my phone but not on my computer. I think mine was a setting with internet explorer. I downloaded Firefox on my computer and use that to view the forum. I can see all the pictures with Firefox.
