Hey DNC, maybe in the future I can meet you halfway. I'm in the Cleveland area. You won't have to solo all the way. Just a thought. I know my wife will also not be happy with me not going. She was looking forward to some alone time. Good luck!

Duh....looked on the map and I am waaaaay out of your way. Sorry, I should have looked at a map first.

Checking in... I'm leaving in the moring with Cagie. Yes, I'm crashing early. Please save a spot somewhere for me Thursday night! :-) He's supposed to meet me at my house around 8am. Coffee, doughnuts and on the road! While I have a long ride It's only about 375 miles one way. So, I feel very sympathetic for those of you who are coming further! I'm really glad Cagie is going with me as I feel there's safety in numbers.

i am just about finished packing. Don't forget flash lights, sun glasses, hats and the dreadful rain gear!!! Bob's here beside me polishing his jacket and glasses. (SW, his fur is pretty funky so use your best discretion on whether or not you actually want to sleep cuddled up next to him. He's a grubby biker bear and proud of it!)

I'm also bring Colnel Sanders along with me so you all can fight about who gets to ride and sleep with him! :-) It'll be his first ride and he's a bit chicken (get it? chicken? Colnel Sanders? LOL )

I'm actually bringing the Gold Wing this year. I've only been able to take it on one long ride 3 years ago and then I had all the knee issues. I believe it's running about as well as possible considering it's a '78.

Tonight while washing the bike down I backed up into the rear turn signal and stretched my right knee. It's really hurting, but I don't care how it feels tomorrow as I'm going regardless. Plus I have some pretty good pain meds I'll be bringing along anyway.

Before it becomes Sunday and everyone starts heading out I want to make sure I say my thank yous and appreciation to those who, once again, have put all the effort into making this a great event.

Cheers! See you there!

Paul

ps. Ike, I'm really sorry to hear you won't be making it!!! Since I'm not taking the 450, you want to drive here and pick it up? LOL It's a real shame you're so far away!

Cagie is on his way, I hardly slept at all due to excitement. I should be on the road in about 2 hours!

Steve, Will didn't bring any of those LOCUSTS with him, did he?

Paul, I have you, Steve and Will marked down for the other room in Cabin 45 Thurs.-Fri. You are good to go.

Becca and I plan to leave the hotel in Hickory NC around 10. Should make it to the park by 5, since we plan to stop at the Rocky Outlet store in Nelsonville on the way in.

Well hello there! I don't think I've "met" you on here before, but it's always great to meet new riders! :D When do you plan to arrive at the Rally? Will you be staying overnight on Friday & Saturday? The reason I'm asking is because there may be a bed available in cabin #43 due to a cancellation (unless he gets his bike fixed in time). Let me know!

Well I'm home safe now. Had a lot of fun! Marc and Stefanie took us on some different roads from the last time I attended. It was great seeing some people that I didn't know were going to show! Nice meeting some new faces too! Ike, sorry you couldn't make it!

Hey guys.
I'm back in the Mitten, safe and happy.

Thanks again for a great time, great conversation, great riding, and abundance of excellent food and fun!

My ride home was quite pleasant. Cool temps, no rain.

Marie & I made it home safely about 5:00. Ride was nice, just a little chilly. Would like to thank all those who
put all the effort in to making this such a great rally! Talked to Pat, Ersel and Jim, everyone made it home safe.

Becca and I made it back to Dacula a little after 8. Jim's "short cut" saved us about 65 miles and $10 in tolls, but there were so many twisties and small towns on the first section (93) that the drive time home was about the same!

But as everyone else has said, we had a great time, and thanks to everyone that made this another great get together!
