I'm not sure how this happened, but we must be the only ones who came away from Lake Hope with leftover deer chili. Two bowls, 1 mild and 1 hot, were set aside for Phil & Lisa. As it turned out, they arrived before Friday's evening meal.

When clearing out the cabin frig, I completely forgot to offer the chili to others. I, again, forgot when I slipped it under other items in our cooler for the homeward trip. Shucks. Sorry.

This is good stuff, Steph and Mark. Even better after aging for a couple of days.

rofl I can completely understand how these "mistakes" happen! rofl

Glad you enjoyed it.

Jim

I put the fires out. Didn't want the ranger and sheriff
coming to visit us again after their 3 previous visits.

Mark is right, Butch.

"What happens in Ohio stays in Ohio."

Oh, you'd better include West Virginia in that statement, too.

I hoarded a small bowl of chili too! Of course that's all that was left at the bottom of the large dutch oven that held the spicy chili...I think it's even better "aged". ;-)

We sure do know how to feed ourselves at these rallies, I suspect we could be mistaken for an eating club rather than riding club.

For some reason we now have a whole week of damp, cool weather here in Southeast Ohio. It SUCKS! Looks like I'm going to be stuck driving the cage this week. Seems cruel after a weekend of riding in nice (if not unusually cool) weather.

BTW - If the law comes looking for any rowdy out-of-state bikers, I'm going to claim I don't know a thing. ;) Seriously, though I hope they prosecute those kids for destroying the cabin across the road and they learn a very valuable, but expensive, lesson from it. I could never understand how people find pleasure in destroying something that doesn't belong to them...seems like there are so many other more exciting things to do.

That's the kind of poop that forces the park system increase the fees and add new rules/regs. Hopefully nothing happens that would impact our ability to use the park again if we so choose.

Sometimes I feel that I miss out on all the fun.

We created a CD with up-beat songs that we play when
we get tired on long trips.

Some of the songs are:
1 old time rock n roll
2 c'est la vie
3 who let the dogs out
4 boot scootin boogie
5 play that funky music
6 prop me up beside the juke box

This morning I've been working on updating the CD with some new songs.
Plus the old CD was scratched and Pat had requested a copy.

Saturday while we were on the ride, the ladies were bopping around to this CD
while chopping vegetables, washing dishes, making coffee, etc.

I learn, not from SW, that when THE STRIPPER by david rose came on ..
some gyrating, overhead towel swinging, and booty grinding took place.
Since SW is not talking.. I'm pretty sure she was smack dab in the middle
of this.

I'm ticked. No pictures!

Looks like I missed out on the fun in the kitchen!

Oh...but I was out riding so that's ok. :D

BTW, I added a few extra pics to my photobucket album (see link in previous post). Sorry Butch, no dancing pics in this set either.

What a great meet! Last week there was a "Rebel" meet in Ohio.

About 20 bikes and maybe 30 or so people.

I left Tuscaloosa, AL, Wednesday mid-morning,to make a trip out of it decided to go visit Bruce at Endless Journey Cycles, before joining the "Rebel" riders.

My Lifan LF-250 and I traveled to Mantua, OH, home of Bruce's shop, stopping Wednesday night in Walton, KY ad arriving Thursday about noon. About 750 miles. Spent Thursday afternoon and Friday morning with Bruce and Left about noon Friday to Logan, OH, where I was staying for the meet. About 200 miles.

Met up with the group Saturday morning, at Lake Hope state Park, and we had a really nice, beautiful ride through the Ohio country side, about 150 miles total with a lunch stop long the way.

Had dinner around the camp fire Saturday then took my leave to return to Logan before it got too dark.
Left Logan Sunday morning and returned to Tuscaloosa Sunday evening about 650 miles.
The Lifan preformed wonderfully and now has right at 116000km on the odometer.
Some of you guys out there should make some of these events!
