Hi guys, so I recently picked up a project bike, I had been on the look out for a rebel for some time but none had come up at a reasonable price.

Then I was offered a Chinese copy of the rebel, the Lifan LF250-4 2007 for only £80 as it wouldn't start and they guy was moving away so needed it gone there and then. While I know the copied aren't great I figured for that price it could make a good project and if I mess up then I've not lost a lot of money.

So first thing g I need to do is get it running, shouldn't be a big job as it had been standing outside since August, so fresh fuel and new spark plugs should do the job.

What I was wondering is doesn't anyone here have experience with the lifan copies? I was wondering what year rebel it is based on? I'd like to get some spoked wheels on it but wasn't sure if the Honda wheels would fit.

Anyway I'll attach some photos and hopefully you guys can help me out with a few things along the way.

Sorry, no Lifan experience. Carb cleaning may also be needed.

Were the original foot pegs removed? Did they come with the bike?

Thanks for the reply, I think it cam standard with the boards rather than pegs unfortunately, I am looking into putting pegs on but I haven't had a chance to even start yet. Picked her up on Sunday afternoon and been working all week, so waiting for the weekend to get to grips with her and take off the awful rear rack and pillion boards!
