OK, I've got an 2004 Rebel CMX250 and it's recently started missing or stuttering when I get up to speed. The engine sounds like it's running smoothly, but highway speed there's a definite stutter, not a steady or consistent one, but frequent. I've changed out the fuel screen, but it hasn't helped. Any ideas?

It might be a partially pinched fuel tank air line. Usually that line is completely pinched and the bike dies after a mile or so, but a nearly closed line could cause the stutter when you are using maximum fuel. This is an easy fix, so just checking that air line going from the drain hoses to the tank isn't crimped anywhere.

It ended up being trash in my carb. Opened the drain screw and ran some gas through. Also squirted in a couple shots of carb cleaner. Works just fine now. Thanks.
